Medical Data Forum

Who are we?

The Forum is a connected group of people engaging on issues facing IGO’s in the area of Medical Data and data protection and privacy.

Who can join?

Any member of IGOPA is free to join and participate in the Forum.

Forums are open to anyone, you do not necessarily have to be connected with an IGO, the idea is that people with insights and experiences in the fields of medical data and data protection can share insights.

The Forum creates space for people to share knowledge or become more aware of the issues confronting health data in IGO’s and the challenges of data protection in these circumstances.

The Forum is an online and real-life space for people to, create awareness, share knowledge and work together to find solutions for challenges.

Some members join to learn more about IGO’s, others about data protection and some to learn about medical data. Others join to share their knowledge on these topics.

Whatever your contribution or participation, you are welcome!

IGOPA has various Forums on specific topics, if this Forum is not right for you then check out the other Forums to find one that fits – or propose a new forum!

What role do IGO’s play?

Many IGOPA members are employed at IGO’s, we therefore respond to real rather than just perceived IGO needs. However, it is important to note that members do not represent IGO’s but rather act in their personal capacity.  Questions might also be referred to the Forum by IGOPA CoP or IGO’s directly.

IGO’s can however sponsor Forum events or working groups or outputs.
