IGO\u2019s operate in terms of international law rather than national laws or regional laws like GDPR. Join us for this Panel Discussion on the challenges IGO’s face when implementing data protection INSIDE the IGO’s, in their relationships and interactions with those OUTSIDE IGO’s and when dealing with how the approach to data protection is different from what many expect which at first may seem to be UPSIDE down, but which is driven by and consistent with international law and the purpose and nature of IGO’s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Some of the IGOPA members are participating in a panel discussion being organised by the Office of the Privacy Commissioner New Zealand as part of the Asia Pacific Privacy Authorities (APPA) network Privacy Awareness Week initiative.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
